At Dynamic Range X1, we understand that when it comes to competitive shooting—especially IDPA scenarios— rule compliance is everything. That’s why we’re now offering a custom feature for IDPA shooters: an external trigger port that allows competitors to activate the moving target themselves.
What It Does: Control Starts with the Shooter
In IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) matches, the shooter must activate the target themselves. With our custom build, we can outfit your X1 system with an auxiliary (AUX) input port that supports external activation through a wired switch.
How It Works
We’ll modify your X1 unit with an external AUX input, allowing you to wire in your preferred trigger system, such as a stomp pad, laser sensor, or any other switch.
When the switch is triggered (e.g., the shooter steps on the pad), it automatically starts the programmed movement or plays a pre-recorded movement sequence, all without needing to press any buttons on the remote.
It’s simple and designed to keep your hands on the gun, not the controls.
Perfect for Matches, Drills & Training Facilities
This feature is ideal for:
IDPA competitions that require shooter-initiated movement
Personal practice drills that simulate threat-based triggers
Training facilities that want modular control for different drills
Want One? Just Ask.
Because this is a custom-built feature, it’s available by request only. If you're interested in adding an external stomp pad or sensor input to your Dynamic Range X1 system, just reach out to our team.
