What Happens After You Send a Purchase Order

An order comes in through the contact form, a phone call, or a purchase order from your procurement office. One person handles it from there: quotes, the W-8 or W-9 your finance team asks for, sole-source letters, and whatever else your purchasing process needs, most of it already templated because someone has asked before. The shop holds no stock, so the unit is built after the order lands, tested on a cable in the shop, and shipped, usually the next business day.

Before you buy

  • Sales and support are the same person, so the one who quotes you is the one you call later for setup help.

  • Procurement paperwork: W-8, W-9, sole-source letters, competitive-bid forms. Ask for what you need; it has almost certainly been produced before and can be sent the same day.

  • A video call, on whatever platform your office uses, with your training staff and whoever signs off. It walks through the remote and what the system does on a line, without anyone travelling.

  • A live demo on your range when we are travelling in your area: full setup, teardown, and your people running the system for a session, at no charge.

After the purchase order arrives

  1. The order goes to shipping coordination first, whether it is a single box to one state or pallets overseas, and the label is bought.

  2. It goes into the build queue. Nothing is stocked; every unit is built to order at a workstation stocked with exactly the parts that order needs.

  3. The finished unit goes on the shop's test line and is run through its checks before it is packed. Anything that gets through that should not have is talked about on Monday and added to the checklist.

  4. The courier collects once a day. An order in today is usually built tomorrow and leaves tomorrow; the worst case is two business days. We are on the second floor, so every box goes down the stairs by hand.

Packages leave once a day. Most orders are out the door the next business day.

If you are up against a date

Say so when you order. One carrier is sometimes a day faster than the others on a given lane, and the shop can pick the faster one when an event is close. Unusual destinations, a forward deployment or a complicated procurement chain, get a second person involved; for almost everything else, one contact covers it.
